Road accidents: Minor girl killed, 18 injured

A minor girl died while 18 others were injured in separate road accidents in Kashmir valley.

In Shopian, a Sumo bearing registration number JK13A-3515 driven by Mohammad Abass Mir resident of Gagren Shopian hit and injured a minor girl namely  Duha daughter of Amil Fazil resident of Chootigam Shopian at Kachdoora Shopian. She was shifted to District Hospital Shopian for treatment, where she succumbed to her injuries. After completion of all legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her next of kins for last rites. Shopian police has registered a case in this regard.

In Ganderbal, a 407 vehicle bearing registration number JK16-2481 driven by Bashir Ahmad resident of Urpash Ganderbal turned turtle near power house Ganderbal, resulting in injuries to 08 persons. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Ganderbal for treatment, where from they were shifted to SKIMS Soura for further treatment. Ganderbal police has registered a case in this regard.

In Baramulla, a Tipper bearing registration number JK01A-7446 collided with Tavera bearing registration number JK01R-4806 near B-ed Collage Kansipora, resulting in injuries to 08 passenger boarding the Tavera. All the injured were shifted to District Hospital Baramulla for treatment.

Meanwhile, an unknown vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian namely Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Yatoo son of Mohammad Ismail resident of Rajpora Palhallan at Dar Gali Palhallan in the jurisdiction of Police Station Pattan. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Pattan for treatment, where from he was shifted to SMHS Srinagar for further treatment.

Baramulla police has registered cases regarding these accidents.

In Islamabad, a Santro car bearing registration number JK03A-9395 hit and injured a minor girl namely Nazima Jan daughter of Javid Ahmad Sheikh at Khreti in the jurisdiction of Police Post Larnoo. She was shifted to PHC Larnoo for treatment, where from she was shifted to District Hospital Islamabad for further treatment. Islamabad police has registered a case in this regard.
