JAMMU, NOVEMBER 20: The Finance Department has asked all the Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) of the State to update and enroll the details of their employees on the Centralized Personal Information System (CPIS), a flagship e-Governance Application of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir.

“All the DDOs are directed to update and enroll the details of the left-out employees on the CPIS portal latest by 31 December 2017 failing which the Treasury Officers shall not draw the salary of the DDOs for the month of December 2017 who have not uploaded the employee database on the CPIS portal,” said a Circular issued by the Principal Secretary Finance, Navin Kumar Choudhary.

It said such employees who do not cooperate with their DDOs shall also not receive the salary for the month of December 2017.

The Administrative Secretaries have also been asked to ensure full compliance in their respective Departments. “The necessary assistance in uploading employee data on CPIS portal by DDOs shall be provided by the Information Technology Department, JAKEGA and NIC State Centre, J&K,” the Circular said.

CPIS is an e-Governance project of the J&K Government to create a database of the employee database across the State. It also envisages to keep updated information of the employees when they are promoted, transferred or retired. It also aims to assign a Unique Employee Identification Number (UEIN) to the employees for future reference. Aadhaar seeding has also been provided on the application to make the database more relevant.

Database of around 3.18 lakh employees has been created till date on the CPIS portal.
