JKBOPEE announces schedule for JKCET 2018, other exams

Srinagar, Nov 15: The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations has announced the tentative schedule for conduct of entrance examinations and counselling for the academic session 2018. As per the tentative schedule, the Jammu & Kasmir Common Entrance Test popularly known as JKCET is scheduled to be held on April 22, 2018. The date of advertisement thus scheduled is February 01, 2018 and the application process will come to an end on February 28, 2018.

JKCET is held for admission to various undergraduate professional courses in medical and engineering colleges of the state. JKCET is for admission into Government run and the privately managed institution of Jammu & Kashmir. From last year onwards, JKCET is held only for the admission in engineering programmes. The admission in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BPT, BUMS course is based on NEET UG Score, and JKBOPEE only conducts counselling for allotment of seats.

 

JKBOPEE has also announced the tentative dates for other entrance exams such as B.ed. Kashmir, 3 Year Polytechnic PET, and B.ed. Jammu. B.ed. Kashmir will be held on February 25, 2018. The advertisement for the same will be out on December 15, 2017, and the application process will end on January 15, 2018. The advertisement for 3 Year Polytechnic PET will be out on January 03, 2018 and the application process will end on February 03, 2018. The exam will be held on April 08, 2018. B.ed. Jammu will be held on June 24, 2018. The advertisement for the same will be out on April 01, 2018 and the application process will end on April 30, 2018.

 

Documentation Cum Counseling – Date of submission of online documents for NEET PG will begin from January 23, 2018, and will end on January 31, 2018. The date for declaration of state merit list is February 01, 2018 until February 07, 2018. A date for submission of online preferences is February 09 to February 15, 2018. Date of submission of online documents for NEET UG, BAMS, BUMS, & BPT courses will begin from May 23, 2018, and will end on May 30, 2018. The date for declaration of state merit list is June 01, 2018 until June 07, 2018. The date for submission of online preferences is June 09 to June 15, 2018. Date of submission of online documents for MD/MS Ayurveda courses will begin on September 10, 2018. The date for declaration of state merit list is September 15, 2018. The date for submission of online preferences is September 16, 2018.

Further, the candidates in their own interest should keep ready the following certificates: Permanent Resident Certificate, Date of Birth Certificate, Internship Certificate & State Registration Certificate (only for PG Students), Reserved Category Certificate, Income Certificate, Mark Sheet of the qualifying examination, Tuition Fee waiver certificates. The counselling for MDMS/PG, MBBS/BDS, shall depend on the declaration of result by NEET.
