Jammu: Taking cognizance of the problems flagged by concerned candidates due to non-availability of a NEET (PG) examination centre at Srinagar, Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has pleaded with government of India for establishment of an examination centre for the coming examination.
In her communication to union Health & Family Welfare Minister, J P Nadda, the Chief Minister has drawn his attention towards the fact that around two thousand students from Kashmir province are taking the said examination being conducted by National Board of Examination on January 7 next year  and non-availability of an examination centre at Srinagar would   put such a large number of medical graduates to a lot of inconvenience.
Mehbooba Mufti has requested the union Health Minister for his intervention in the matter to establish an examination centre at Srinagar for the said examination which would save such a large number of candidates from the difficulties otherwise.
It is pertinent to mention here that requests from various groups of students had come to the Chief Minister for taking up with the Centre the issue of setting up an examination centre at Srinagar for the coming NEET (PG)-2018 examination in view of the large number of candidates from Kashmir Valley taking such an examination.
