Srinagar: In a major action against land encroachment government today retrieved about 22 kanals of government land in Shalteng area on the city outskirts.

Divisionalal Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan said that the government has launched a massive drive against illegal encroachment of government land.

Baseer khan while talking to INS said,“We today regained 22 kanals of land in shaltang area and the drive will continue till we acquire last piece of government land occupied illegally by any individual.”
