SDA demolishes illegal structures in Tajwas

The Enforcement wing of the Sonamarg Development Authority (SDA), conducted a demolition drive in Thajwas Sonamarg and removed some illegal shops from the tourist resort.

The demolition team of SDA officials led by its field squad on the directions of Chief Executive Officer Shabir Ahmad Raina (KAS) and in pursuance of Hon’ble high Court orders, SDA department raised the unauthorized shops to ground which were constructed since years near the bank of river and violating the rules of Glacier zone.
The team was led by SDA field squad along with Sonamarg police personnel who were supervised the entire operation.
CEO sonamarg development authority Shabir Ahmad Raina said that the authority won’t tolerate any violation of the area. “We will take stern action against the violators who are constructing structures illegally in Sonamarg and around the Nallah Sindh, causing huge pollution in area,” he said.
