Ganderbal Police has organized a seven days long Sports Festival under Civil Action Programme which was inaugurated by DIG central Kashmir Ghulam Hassan Bhat at Sainik School, today.

In the sports festival, games including Tug of War, Volley Ball, Football etc will be played and about 600 participants are participating.
Dy. Commissioner Ganderbal Piyush Singla, SSP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad Lone, CO 5RR, Principal Of Government College of Physical Education Dr Hartej and other District Officers, besides various prominent personalities and senior citizens were also present on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, Deputy Inspector General of Police,Ghulam Hassan Bhat said that these sports festivals are being organized to provide a platform to the youth of the state to nurture their talent and channelize their energy in positive direction. He said that Jammu and Kashmir police is organizing such programmes to encourage the sports culture in the state.
