Do not resort to vandalism in pursuit of militants unlike they do, Mehbooba Mufti tells Police

Ganderbal: Asking Jammu and Kashmir police not to resort in any kind of  ‘ransacking and vandalisation of properties like miliants’, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti Wednesday said that police should ‘play a positive role in making recently announced dialogue process successful.

Mehbooba was speaking over the Attestation cum passing out parade fo 13th BRTC at police training school manigam ganderbal.

“I must not get any such complaint that you could not find militants or could not catch them so you too vandalise property of people like they do,” Mehbooba said while referring to recent attacks by militants on People Democratic Party workers.

Mehbooba asked police to play a positive role to make the ‘dialogue process a successful’.

“You can fight a militant but to fight militancy your role is important. You have to play an important role. You have to be the embodiment of law obedience yourself first for enforcing it,” she said.

DGP, DIG, IGP, of police and DC Ganderbal were also present on the occasion.
