Jammu: Three juveniles from Pakistan administered Kashmir and one from Bangladesh are currently lodged among nine children in Children’s Home at R S Pura.
The information was revealed by an official spokesman here after Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey, Chairman, Juvenile Justice Committee of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court along with Justice M K Hanjura visited Observation Home, Children’s Home and Nari Niketan at R S Pura to take stock of facilities being provided to the inmates there.
Speaking on the occasion, Justice Magrey said that the team evaluated the provisions and facilities being extended to the inmates are in accordance to the set rules and norms.
He said that steps are being taken to rehabilitate the juveniles at the correctional facility, some of whom belong to other states and countries like Nepal and Bangladesh.
“Pertinently, among nine juvenile inmates at the Home, 03 are children from (PaK) while 01 is from Bangladesh,” an official spokesman said
