Srinagar: A complete shutdown was observed in Shopian and Pulwama in south Kashmir on Sunday against the killing of top Lashker-e-Toiba militant along with his association and a civilian.
All shops and other commercial establishments were closed while public and private transport was off the roads in the twin districts.
Two Lashkar-e-Toiba militants were killed in the gunfight with government forces while a civilian— Gulzar Ahmad Mir of Allaypora— was killed and dozens injured in the ensuing clashes.
 LeT’s district commander for Shopian Wasim Shah was killed along with his associate Nasir Mir in the gunfight on Sunday.
Another civilian, Muhammad Ashraf Mir with firearm injury was referred to Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment.
