Revenue Deptt sets up complaint redressal helpline

SRINAGAR:  Minister for Revenue, Relief, Rehabilitation, Reconstruction, Abdul Rehman Veeri Wednesday directed the Divisional Commissioners to setup toll free numbers for the disposal of grievances and complaints regarding Revenue Department.

The order issued by the office of the Revenue Minister asks Divisional Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir to setup toll free number in their respective offices where general public can register their grievances/ complaints pertaining to the Revenue Department.

“You are also requested to nominate one officer/ official (not below the rank of Naib Tehsildar) to dispose of all the grievances/ complaints filed the general public received through the Toll free Numbers and submit weekly status to the department,” order reads.

Revenue Minister said that the decision has been taken to bring vibrancy in the functioning of the department so that common people get their issues redressed on time.

Veeri further said that the aim of establishing grievance cells besides redressing revenue related grievances is to bring more efficiency in the working of the Department
