According to Tribune.com.pk on Wednesday, Lodhi told the UN General Assembly on Tuesday that, “daily violations of the ceasefire along the LoC by India’ are done to ‘cover up its crimes against the Kashmiri people and to divert world attention from its occupation.

“All I can say to them is: do not underestimate Pakistan’s resolve and capacity to defend itself,” Pakistan’s top diplomat said.

“Any aggression or intervention will meet a matching and effective response from our armed forces and the people of Pakistan,” Lodhi was quoted saying while participating in a debate on the annual report of UN Secretary-General on the work of the organisation.

Botht the countries have been exchanging heavy artillery fire along the Line of control. On Wednesday authorities had to order closure of all educational institutions along LoC in poonch due to heavy exchange of shelling and gunfire.

Two kids recently died in Jammu division of Jammu and Kashmir while Pakistan claimed it too lost civilians to Indian artillery fire.
