Srinagar: Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik on Sunday extended support to call for strike by Kashmir traders and transporters against summon to head of Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation, Muhammad Yaseen Khan by National Investigation Agency.
In a statement issued here, the JRL said accused New Delhi of using the NIA as “war weapon” against innocent Kashmir.
“Government of India through NIA has started an unjustified campaign against people from all walks of life and on one pretext or other, they are being unnecessarily being harassed,” they said.
The leaders also condemned filing of chargesheet by enforcement directorate against DFP chief and senior Hurriyat leader Shabir Ahmad Shah, terming a political vendetta.
