Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today has summoned Kashmir Traders and Manufacturing federation Srinagar (KTMF) President Mohd. Yaseen Khan in connection with a case related to funding of separatist activities in Kashmir valley.
Khan while confirming the reports told INS that he is out of state and received a phone call from kothibagh police station today, saying him that NIA has summoned him to New Delhi for the questioning onSeptember 25. Meanwhile KTMF has called an emergency meeting to discuss the issue with all the district presidents and tehsil presidents tomorrow.
KTMF spokesperson Farhan told INS that all the district presidents and tehsil presidents of the association will attend the meeting, “it will be decided that who and how many people will accompany our president to New Delhi regarding the case.”
Pertinently NIA has arrested seven pro-freedom leaders, a businessman and two youth including a photo journalist.
Earlier Jammu and Kashmir bar association president Mian Abdul Qayoom was also summoned in the case but he was given a clean chit earlier this week.
Particulars of the case on which Mohd. Yaseen Khan has been summoned by the NIA headquarter New Delhi Under RC-10/2017/NIA/DLI. under sections 120B, 121, 121A of IPC, 13, 16, 17, 18, 20, 38, 39 & 40 of UA(F) ACT.
