J&K Bank opens fresh currency counter at Vaishno Devi

Srinagar:  On the eve of Navratri, J&K Bank opened a Fresh Cash Currency/Note exchange counter at Vaishno Devi Bhawan in Katra Jammu. The bank’s Business Unit at Vaishno Devi established the facility of fresh currency Notes for devotees visiting the place from across the country.

Chief Executive Officer of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) Jitendra Kumar Singh (IAS) inaugurated the counter in presence of SDM Bhawan Jagdish Singh (KAS), Tehsildar Dhuni Chand and the bank’s Vice-President Sudhir Gupta besides local traders, large number of devotees from different corners of the country and officials of SMVDSB and the bank.

Extending his gratitude towards the bank management Jitendra Kumar Singh lauded the relentless efforts of the bank at Vaishno Devi Bhawan and in the state for the economic empowerment of people besides supporting the trade and industry of the state thereby generating employment for growing number of local youth. He also thanked the officials from Reserve Bank of India on the occasion.
