Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday constituted a committee for recruitment of co-pilot of fixed wing aircraft in the state’s Civil Aviation Department.
Headed by Commissioner, civil aviation department, the 4-member committee has been tasked lay down the eligibility requirements to the post of co-pilots, with the approval of the Chief Minister; ii) set the terms and conditions of appointment including salary and allowances with the approval of the finance Department; advertise the posts in the leading newspapers including two national newspapers for inviting applications from the candidates; lay down the criteria for selection in a transparent manner with the approval of the Chief Minister and complete the selection process and recommend suitable candidates for appointment, in a time bound manner. The members of the panel include representatives from GAD (not below the rank of Additional Secretary), finance (not below the rank of additional secretary) and a pilot to be nominated by Civil Aviation Department.
