Qazigund: One person was arrested with 30 kilograms of poppy straw by Qazigund police.
“A naka was laid and a Bolero bearing registration number PB10T-1882 was intercepeted and during checking Poppy straw was recovered,” officials told INS.
The arrested has been dentified as Shinderpaul Singh, son of Harmeet Singh resident of Gaudala district Moga Punjab.
A case under Section 8/15 narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at police station Qazigund and investigation has been launched, police said on Friday.
