Srinagar: The proposed court arrest by the Joint Resistance Leaders at National Investigation Agency headquarter at Delhi has been thwarted by police as Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar and Yasin Malik were arrested or put under house arrest on Saturday.
Hurriyat G supreme Syed Ali Geelani continues to remain under house arrest at his Office cum residence at Hyderpora.
Chief cleric and Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was placed under house arrest late last night and Yasin Malik was arrested around midnight by the police.
The trio had announced that they will march to NIA headquarters in Delhi and had booked the tickets for Srinagar Delhi bound flight.
