Delhi: Nirmala Sitharaman took charge as Indias Defence Minister on Thursday.
Sitharaman was given the crucial position in Sunday’s reshuffle of the Narendra Modi Cabinet.
Sitharaman’s charge taking was hampered as Arun Jaitley, was on a visit to Japan, even though ideally Sitharaman should have attended it, reports said.
