Ganderbal: Residents of Safapora area of Ganderbal district of central Kashmir say, “officials are in a deep slumber as thousands of commuters suffer every day”.
At Trisa Safapora, the road connecting Safapora with the District headquarters is in shambles and commuters, locals claim in thousands, tread the road every day.
“Public Grievances are not taken seriously. Two years back there were minor repairs of the road. But the quality of work was such that the Nallah that runs parallel to this road tore it apart,” Rashid ul deen Magray, a delegation of locals told INS.
According to Peer Jamsheed, another local, the road was black topped two Years but now it again looks as if ‘it was always like this’.
Locals appealed district authorities to come to their ‘rescue’.
‘Students have to traverse through this road but a tidy student becomes ugly when he reaches at the end of this road which is filled with muddy water,” Jamsheed said.
The delegation of the locals appealed the district administration to repair the road ‘with good quality macedemisation so that it doesn’t break again’.
