Farooq Abdullah, Guv’s advisors attend Iftaar party hosted by Army

Srinagar: An Iftaar hosted by Northern Command at BadamiBagh Cantonment was among others attended by National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah and advisors of governor.
Chief host Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, Army Commander Northern Command along with Lt Gen KJS Dhillon, Chinar Corps Commander welcomed the guests who included advisors to governor– Khursheed A Ganie and K Vijay Kumar besides Peoples Conference leader and PDP rebel Imran Ansari besides men from media, a defence ministry spokesman said.
Speaking on the occasion, the Army Commander extolled the virtues of the holy month of Ramazan and Iftaar. He said that it was the time for spiritual reflection, prayers and community engagement. He expressed his happiness on the presence of a group of special children from the local orphanage on the occasion. After thanking the esteemed guests for gracing the occasion, the Army commander prayed for peace and tranquillity in the whole of J&K and hoped that the youth of J&K become the vanguard of development activities in India.
