Srinagar: Announcing a two day strike of working in the court rooms members of Jammu and Kashmir Bar Association Tuesday held a protest demonstration outside High court Srinagar.
Lawyers were protesting against National Investigation Agency NIA after it shot a notice to JKBA president Mian Qayoom on Monday.
“There will be no working in the court on Tuesday and Wednesday and on thursday we will hold a meeting and decide about our next move,” JKBA members told reporters outside the apex court.
Holding banners reading, “Don’t use NIA to suppress and subjugate the voice of people’ and Don’t interrupt course of justice through NIA’, protesting lawyers marched on the road and traffic was halted for some time.
