JKSSC summer basketball coaching camp concludes in Sgr

SRINAGAR,: First of its kind summer basketball camp organized by J&K State Sports Council (JKSSC) concludes today at Indoor Sports Stadium Srinagar.

International Basketball Coach, Pradyot voleti imparted training to the thousands of budding players and held basketball camps in Central, South and North Kashmir districts, where the response of the players was extraordinary for the game.

“We started one-week summer basketball camp and we have covered almost every district of the Kashmir division by imparting international level coaching to the young and aspiring players,” said Pradyot Voleti.

Meanwhile, the aspiring players said that such camps be held in future also to further groom the young players.

“I learned a lot and got exposed to various techniques of this game, which earlier I was unaware of. I hope that Sports Council holds such camps in future also,” said Ubaid Mukhtar, an aspiring Basketball Player.

During the closing ceremony, Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra while thanking the International coach for imparting the training to the young and aspiring players said: “We are hopeful that such training will help the players to further chisel their talent and be helpful for them to feature in State and national-level competitions.”

He further added that Sports Council would hold such camps infuture in which more players would be taken in to further groom the budding players.
