Govt forms expert panel for ‘fair’ appraisal of student’s practical work

Srinagar: The State Government has constituted an expert committee to suggest measures for bringing systematic changes in assessment of practical work at Secondary and Higher Secondary level in a fair and transparent manner.
The members of the committee include Secretary, J&K BOSE Srinagar, Director School Education Kashmir, Director Academics, J&K BOSE Srinagar, Director School Education Jammu, Special Secretary School Education Department, Nodal Officer, Nucleus Cell, School Education Department and two renowned Academicians, one each from Jammu and Kashmir Division to be nominated by respective Directors of School Education.
“The Committee shall furnish its report to the Government within a period of one month from the date of issuance of the order,” a government order issued here said. The panel, it said, shall be serviced by the Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE)
