Army’s Tongil Moo Do program, 70 participants join the event

At least 70 participants from South Kashmir joined Army’s ‘orientation cum referee’ seminar on Tongil Moo Do, a form of martial art.

A three day program was organised by the Army was held at Youth Centre Highground which commenced on 18 Aug.

 

“The seminar saw 70 participants from south Kashmir which included teachers and students from different schools. The seminar taught the attendees about the technical aspects of refereeing a tournament and included practical as well as theoretical aspects of Tongil Moo Do, which is a popular martial art in South Korea and is quickly gaining a foothold across the globe,” the press statement issued said.

 

According to the press statement the aim of the seminar was to encourage teachers and students to include the sport in their routine school activities and promote the sport across Kashmir.
