Police refutes pro-Pak video shot in Pulwama, lodges case

Srinagar: Police on Monday refuted as “baseless” claims about a video, showing youths taking out a pro-Pakistan march in Pulwama district of south Kashmir on the Islamabad’s Independence Day.
“Some anti-nation elements have shared an anti-national and seditious video claiming to be shot in Murran Chowk Pulwama today (on Monday) on social networking sites. The claim is baseless and as such is refuted,” a police spokesman said in a statement.
Police has also registered a case “against the people behind these updates and sharing,” the spokesman added.
The video shows some people, mainly youth, taking out a march by carry Pakistan’s flags and chanting slogans of “freedom..freedom…we want freedom etc” amid scores of bystanders. The video also shows Pakistan’s national anthem playing in the background.
