Srinagar: A youth was killed as government forces showered pellets on protesters near Kakapora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday. This is the second killing due to the munitions in Pulwama district in last four days alone.
Sources said that the youth, Owais Ahmad Dar son of Muhammad Shafi Dar of Kakapora Pulwama was seriously injured after hit by pellets at Kakapora on Sunday evening evening.
Sources said a party of CRPF, coming from Shopian, was hurled with stones near Kakapora and the paramilitary forces fired pellets which hit Owais in his chest.
The youth was shifted to nearby hospital from where he was referred to SMHS Hospital here where doctors, on attended upon him, declared him brought dead.
On August 9, a 16-year-old Muhammad Younis Sheikh son of Muhammad Yusuf from Saimoh village of Tral was killed in the native town in the Pulwama district.
