Srinagar: Army’s Northern Command chief Lt General D Anbu on Thursday asked troops “to be prepared to effectively meet emerging security challenges”.
Continuing with his visit to the Valley, Lt Gen D Anbu accompanied by the Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen JS Sandhu visited forward posts in North Kashmir, a defence spokesman said.
“The Army Commander interacted with the troops on ground and commended them for the recent successes.  Complementing the troops for their dedication to duty and high standards of professionalism, the Army Commander asked them to continue with the strict vigil to thwart any nefarious designs of inimical elements,” the spokesman said, adding that he also reinforced the need to be prepared to effectively meet emerging security challenges.
