Official panel to pick police officers for posting in VO

SRINAGAR: The selection of police officers upto the rank of Dy SP for posting in Vigilance Organization, J&K shall be henceforth made by an official panel to be headed by the Chief Secretary.
According to a notification issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the Government has accordingly made an amendment in the Proviso to Rule-5 of the Jammu and Kashmir Vigilance Organization (Gazetted) Service Recruitment (Qualification & Eligibility) Rules-2009.
The other members of the official selection panel include Administrative Secretary, Home Department, Administrative Secretary, GAD, Director General of Police, J&K and Director Vigilance Organization, J&K.
