SRINAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh has strongly condemned the attack on Amarnath Yatris at Anantnag in which 7 pilgrims died and several were injured.
Expressing sympathies with the families of the deceased, the Deputy Chief Minister said such dastardly acts of violence are handiwork of the elements trying to push the state into chaos and create a communal wedge between different communities. He said we should collectively condemn these dastardly acts which are a crime against humanity and human values.
It is pertinent to mention that the Deputy Chief Minister had yesterday visited the injured at district hospital Anantnag and enquired about their condition. He had also directed the concerned to provide every possible assistance to the injured.
The Deputy Chief Minister also visited Technical Airport to pay homage to the deceased and injured who were being airlifted to their native states.
