Qazigund, Jul 10: A 24-year-old youth drowned to death after he fell into a stream in Gundipora village of Qazigund in Kulgam on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

An official told KNO that the youth had gone for a stroll near the stream and suddenly slipped into it

Soon after the incident, police and locals retrieved his body, he said.

The deceased has been identified as Suhail Ahmad Shah son of Ghulam Mohammad Shah of Gundipora, Qazigund.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
