Jammu: Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has condoled the demise of former Additional Chief Secretary of the State, Mr. Mehmood ur Rehman who passed away late last evening.
In her condolence message, the Chief Minister recalled the contribution made by late Rehman to the State during his long stint in bureaucracy here. She also paid him rich tributes for his contribution as the Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University and in the establishment of India Islamic Culture Centre at New Delhi, of which he was the founder member.
Mehbooba Mufti has conveyed her sympathies to the bereaved family of late Rehman while praying for his eternal solace.
Governor prays for peace to departed soul
Governor N.N. Vohra has expressed grief over the passing away of Mehmood-ur-Rehman, a retired IAS officer of the J&K cadre. Governor recalled the exceptional devotion to duty of this officer, particularly during the very difficult days in the early 1990s when he served as the State Home Secretary, when the Governor was the Union Home Secretary.
In a condolence message the Governor has conveyed his sympathies to the members of the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Chief Secretary condoles demise of Mehmood-ur-Rehman
Chief Secretary B.B. Vyas today condoled the demise of former Chief Secretary, Mehmood-ur-Rehman who passed away today.
A condolence meeting was held under the chairmanship of the B. B. Vyas here today in which Director General of Police S. P. Vaid, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rohit Kansal and various Administrative Secretaries and Heads of Departments participated.
The meeting remembered his services for the State during tough and trying conditions and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
Drabu condoles demise of Mehmood-ur-Rehman
Minister for Finance, Dr. Haseeb Drabu, today expressed grief over the demise of former Chief Secretary of the State Mehmood-ur-Rehman, who passed away today.
The Minister termed the demise of Rehman as a personal loss and said the former Chief Secretary had made his mark under various administrative capacities and was known as honest and upright officer who strived hard for the welfare of the people.
While conveying his condolences to the bereaved family, Dr. Drabu prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and forbearance to the Rehman’s family to bear this irreparable loss.
DIPR condoles Khwaja Mohammad Sultan’s demise
The Directorate of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) has condoled the demise of Haji Mohammad Sultan Khwaja of Kralgund, Qaziabad, Kupwara who is the uncle of Mohammad Munnawar Khwaja, Administrative Officer DIPR.
The deceased, a retired Panchayat Inspector, was a noted social and political activist of the area. Rasm-e-Chaharum of the deceased shall be observed on 12 July 2017 at his ancestral place.
A condolence meeting was held at DIPR today which was chaired by Director Information, Mr Muneer-ul-Islam. The meeting while praying for eternal peace to the departed soul, extended condolences to the bereaved family.
