Srinagar: The Director General Police Dr S. P Vaid has thank people for their cooperation in maintaining law and order and announced that broadband internet services will be restored by today evening, a local news agency said.
Confirming the restrictions were imposed in parts of Kashmir valley, a government official here on Saturday said that the restrictions under section 144 CrPc were imposed in most parts of the Valley today to thwart any untoward incident on the maiden anniversary of Burhan Wani.
Meanwhile, strict curfew was imposed in Tral, the native village of Burhan Wani.
Reports quoting witnesses said the army conducted flag marches in Tahab and Puchil areas of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
All the shops, public transport and other businesses remained closed while the private as well as the public transport was off the roads in the uptown areas of Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir valley where the restrictions or curfew was not in force. KNS
