The IGP said security measures will be reviewed every day and the measures will be set as per the situation.
As per the protest programme of the Hurriyat, shutdown has been called for shutdown on two days only on July 8 and 13 on the first anniversary of Burhan Wani.
The IGP hinted that the strict measures will be taken only on these two days.
The authorities will also enhance and deploy more security in the Valley especially in south Kashmir areas where protests and militant activities are on a spurt.
Meanwhile, Police has asked the internet service providers to block all social media sites or shut down their services in Kashmir from 10 pm tonight till further orders in view of the Hurriyat programme.
