Tarigami condemns police action against Kashmir Traders

Srinagar: Strongly condemning the police action against Kashmir traders, CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has said that the policy of browbeating adopted by the government to muzzle genuine voices of people is extremely unfortunate.
“Government seems more comfortable in silencing these voices through force and browbeating. This tactics is most unfortunate and condemnable.”
Calling for an immediate end to such bullying strategy adopted by the government, the CPI (M) leader said that trader’s bodies in Kashmir have every right to express their concern over the implementation of GST and 101 amendment in Jammu and Kashmir.
While condemning lathicharge on traders he demanded immediate release of leaders of traders bodies including Showkat Chowdhary, Zahoor Tramboo, Siraj Ahmad, Jan Mohd Koul, Faiz Bakshi, Manzoor Bhat, Mauzam Bakshi, Muzaffar Khan, Yaseen Khan, Bashir Rather, Farooq Dar, Dr. Mubeen Shah & Shakeel Qalandar.
