DC Srinagar reviews progress of Aadhaar enrolment

SRINAGAR: The Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr. Farooq Ahmad today reviewed the Aadhaar enrolment in Srinagar district today.
The meeting was held with the Nodal officers of NPR & Aadhaar and representative of Aadhaar Agency.
It was given out that the Capturing of Biometrics for Aadhaar -2ndPhase has been restarted in 18 locations namely Ward offices Brein, Sher-e-Kashmir Park, Rainawari, Hawal, Lai Bazaar, Batapora, Gulab Bagh, Karan Nagar, Parimpora, Batamaloo, Jawahar Nagar, Zewan and Community Halls at Bhagwanpora Barbarshah, Illahi Bagh, Nalabal, Nawab Bazar, Rawatpora Barzulla. Two machines have been installed in LAWDA office, Miskeen Bagh Srinagar for facilitation of Dal dwellers.
Meeting was informed that the machines are being deployed in the remaining wards within one week. The machines will remain functional permanently until completion of the Aadhaar enrolment in respect of the Srinagar citizens.
DC directed to work on this prestigious enrolment project on priority basis so that the 100% Aadhaar enrolment is achieved in a time frame. He also requested the people who have not yet enrolled their Aadhaar Number, are informed to immediately reach the said centers for registration.
