Srinagar: Chairman Hurriyat Conference (G), Syed Ali Geelani, Sunday said that Indian authorities, its agencies and particularly NIA is unnecessarily harassing Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leadership and its activists.
According to a statement issued to KNS, reacting sharply over raids conducted by (NIA), Geelani said that they have been given this task just to drag and involve leadership into fabricated cases.
Condemning the raids conducted by NIA, Syed Ali Geelani said that unfortunate aspect of this is that NIA sleuths during raids harass inmates and even ransack properties.
Leadership and party activists are being called and interrogated at JIC Humhama. It is sheer vengeance and intimidation and all these coercive tactics won’t deter us from advocating just cause, said Geelani.
He warned India that these inhuman, immoral and undemocratic tactics will be resisted tooth and nail.
It is their arrogance, said Geelani and while lashing out Indian authorities, said that they through all its military might against innocent people are crossing all limits.
Pro-freedom leadership and their families are harassed and terrorized, said Geelani and added that all these shameful attempts are revenge against the people of Kashmir and leadership will in no way dent their commitment.
Blaming state administration, Geelani said that they are instrumental for this and even facilitating these agencies. It is shameful for these puppets that they are lending their support to cage and implicate leadership on frivolous charges.
Asking authorities to stop forth with all these illogical and unjustified moves, Geelani said that we will never surrender and all people from every corner including those from Jammu, Peer Panchal, valley Chenab are committed with freedom movement and state sponsored hooliganism won’t let down their spirits and sentiments.
Syed Ali Geelani while hailing sacrifices presented by youth, said that since past seven decades, nation presented countless precious lives to carry freedom movement. We are indebted for supreme sacrifices presented by our youth and we will never overlook their commitment and contribution, Geelani added. (KNS)
