“During the course of searches, Pakistani currency(a few thousand) and currencies belonging to the UAE and Saudi Arabia have been found and seized apart from other incriminating material. The concerned persons are being questioned about the same,” the spokesperson said.
NIA had on Saturday raided 22 locations in Kashmir, Delhi and other places following a ‘sting’ on three separatist about alleged funding by Pakistan for subversive activities in Kashmir.
NIA team had raided residential houses of several pro-freedom leaders and a businessman and claimed seizure of cash and other “incriminating material” during the raids.

Pertinently, three separatists ncluding Chairman Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF) Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bitta Karrate and Javed Ahmed Baba alias ‘Gazi’ of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat led by Syed Ali Geelani, were questioned by NIA sleuths in New Delhi for three days for their role in 2016 unrest and alleged funding from Pakistan for creating unrest in Kashmir.
