Srinagar: Normal class work will resume in all the Higher Secondary Schools (HSS) and Degree Colleges in Srinagar district from Monday, the government said today.
However, the class work would continue to remain suspended at SP and MP Higher Secondary schools on Monday, officials said.
“Normal class work will resume in all the colleges and HSSs of Srinagar district from Monday except SP and MP HSS,” Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Lone told KNS.
Higher secondary schools and colleges in Kashmir have been closed after the killing of HM commander Sabzar Ahmad Bhat in a gunfight in Tral last week.
Earlier, the schools and colleges were closed by the government following the protests by students over the trespassing of an army vehicle into the premises of Government Degree College Pulwama on April 15. (KNS)
