Poonch: Two persons including a woman were injured as Pakistani troopers restored to heavy shelling along Line of Control in Poonch district.

According to official sources, Pakistan troops violated ceasefire and resorted to shelling in Qasba, Gunterian and Kirni villages of Poonch sector. The sources said that the shelling started during night hours and left two persons including Shahnaz Akhtar and Zamood Ahmad injured.

Officials said that the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment and their condition is stated to be stable. “Both sustained splinter injuries,” they added. Meanwhile, an intruder was shot dead by army along Line of Control in Krishna Ghato sector of Poonch. (GNS)
