Srinagar: Chairman Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik was today arrested by police and shifted to central jail Srinagar on a five day judicial remand.
Police and other forces in large numbers cordoned the residence of JKLF chairman today morning and took him in their custody.
He was immediately shifted to central jail Srinagar. While speaking to the media prior to his arrest, JKLF chairman said that he is being arrested because he yesterday went to Tral for condolences which actually shows the criminal mindset of so-called rulers and their forces who have put an blanket ban even on mourning and condolences. It is worth to mention that yesterday on 27th May 2017 after hearing the news of crackdown in Tral, JKLF chairman along with senior leader Zahoor Ahmad Butt and others immediately left for Tral and after travelling many miles on foot, managed to reach their destination. At reaching Tral JKLF chairman first went to Saimo where Martyr Sabzar Ahmad Butt and his associate martyr Faizaan Muzafar embraced martyrdom and where besides beating and injuring hundreds of innocents ,Indian forces damaged many residential houses and other property.
JKLF chief then reached Rathsona and participated in the first funeral prayers held for martyr Sabzar Ahmad there. JKLF chairman met with his mother and other bereaved family members and expressed solidarity with them. He also addressed a gathering there and paid rich tributes to great martyrs.
After visiting Rathsona, JKLF chairman on foot travelled to Tral Payeen and participated in condolences of martyr Fiazaan Muzafar. Besides meeting his bereaved family and expressing solidarity with them, JKLF chairman also addressed two separate gatherings and paid homage to Martyrs. JKLF chairman and others then travelled back to Srinagar and reached home late in the night. Today prior to his arrest by police JKLF chairman spoke to media person and condemned ongoing oppression.
Terming the rulers in Delhi and their stooges in Jammu Kashmir as sadists who take pleasure in terrorizing and inflicting harm on Kashmiri Muslims, JKLF chairman said that just at the arrival of Ramazan Kareem which is the most sacred month for Muslims, rulers in Delhi and their stooges in Jammu Kashmir handed us the corpses of our young budding flowers and showered bullets, pellets, shells and Lathees on Kashmiris killing many and injuring many more.
After taking lives of dozens including martyr Sabzar, Martyr Fiazaan and martyr Molvi Aaquib in a single day, curfew has been imposed, internet and phone services have been snapped and spree of arrests has been started to inflict more harm to Kashmiri Muslims on the first day of Ramazan.
JKLF chairman said this is so-called Indian democracy which bans even mourning, condolences and today ironically I am being arrested because I went to Tral yesterday and expressed condolences to the bereaved families of martyrs.
Yasin Malik said that let us remind so-called chief minister Mehbooba Mufti that there were times when she used to visit the bereaved families of martyred youth and shed crocodile tears on their corpses but today she for the lust of power has shamelessly banned even mourning and condolences.
JKLF chairman said that anti-Muslim mindset of RSS backed Delhi government and its stooges in Jammu Kashmir led by PDP is such that these people are not ready to accept any joy of Kashmiris, this is why that at the beginning of holy Ramazan, killing spree of Muslims has started, more than 200 people have been injured by pellets and bullets during one day, internet, phone services have been snapped and valley has been cut off from the rest of the world and a stringent curfew has been imposed to make people suffer more.
JKLF chairman said that today I am being arrested for expressing condolences to bereaved families, participating in funeral and condolence meetings of martyrs and this is yet another example of farce Indian democracy in Jammu Kashmir.
While paying rich tributes to martyrs and praying for the speedy recovery of the injured, JKLF chairman said that jail is his second home and intimidations, oppressive tactics, suppression and tyrannical acts cannot deter Kashmiri nations from resisting the illegal occupation of India. (KNS)
