Farooq, Omar express grief over deaths due to border shelling

Jammu: National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Working President Omar Abdullah today condemned continued shelling from across the border in Naushehra and Manjakote sectors along Line of Control and expressed deep grief and anguish over the deaths of civilians in forward areas.
The President and the Working President prayed for peace to the departed souls and strength to the bereaved families to bear their irreparable loss. They conveyed their condolences and expressed solidarity with the families who have lost their dear ones and wished immediate recovery to the injured.
Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah called for urgent measures to ensure safety of the border dwellers and all assistance to those living in make shift accommodations.
Provincial President National Conference Jammu, Devender Rana has also expressed deep grief and anguish over the deaths and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families. He expressed solidarity with the families at this hour of grief.
Meanwhile, State Secretary Th Rachpal Singh, MLA Javed Rana, Youth National Conference Provincial President Ajaz Jan and former minister Syed Mushtaq Ahmed Shah Bukhari have conveyed their condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls. (KNS)
