Executive Secretary, Centre for Dialogue and Reconciliation meets Governor

SRINAGAR: Sushobha Barve, Executive Secretary, Centre for Dialogue and Reconciliation (CDR), called on Governor N.N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhawan here today.
Ms. Barve briefed the Governor about the inter-community dialogues being conducted by the Centre in Jammu and Kashmir for building trust through continuing talks, dialogue and discussions.
Ms. Barve also informed the Governor about their ‘Youth Leadership Programme’ which was launched to engage youth of conflict affected areas of the state and inculcate in them leadership qualities for overcoming the challenges to peace and stability in the region.
Governor urged Ms. Barve to take various possible initiatives for counseling youth to dispel varied influences which thwart their scholastic objectives and come forward to play a positive role in building the future of the state.
