Director Education directs felling of Poplar trees in all educational institutions

SRINAGAR: Director School Education Kashmir Dr G. N. Itoo has directed for immediate felling of Russian Poplar trees in all educational institutions of the valley.
In a surprise visit to the GHSS Kothibagh, Director came to know that instructions regarding the chopping of popular trees have not been followed and because of which hundreds of students get affected by them.
Meanwhile Director School Education Kashmir has said that all educational institutions should immediately act upon the instructions of High Court regarding the cutting of the Poplar trees and submit compliance report within a week so that health of children is secured.
