Schools, colleges to be provided security guard soon

Srinagar:  Spooked off by the unabated incidents of braid cutting taking place in the valley, schools and colleges will soon be provided security guards by the education department.

Minister of Education Altaf Bukhari while talking to INS confided that government will provide one separate security guard to every education institutions.

“Apart from providing security guards to the schools and colleges, I will issue a circular that students or staff should be allowed to enter colleges or schools after looking at their identity cards,” Bukhari said.

The students of Kothibagh Girls Higher Secondary, Womens College M.A Road and Soura Girls Higher Secondary, had expressed concern towards their safety due to rising braid cutting incidents happening.
