Srinagar: Protests have erupted in Maisuma locality of city center lal chowk  on Monday after noon after reports of braid cutting incident in the area.

Protesters clashed with Police and threw stones on cops, after which, police resorted to tear gas shelling to disperse protesters.

All the bussiness establishments in the locality are closed.

Police also cane charged the crowd.
