Ganderbal, Jan 30: Sandeep Gupta on Tuesday assumed charge as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal.

On his arrival, the incumbent officer was warmly recieved by senior Police officers of the District and Guard of honour was also presented at District Police Headquarters Ganderbal.

The outgoing SSP Nikhil Borkar handed over the Baton to the incumbent officer in a brief but impressive function, a statement issued here reads.

On assuming the charge, the incumbent officer held introductory meeting with Police officers of the District and impressed upon officers to work with dedication and enthusiasm to mitigate problems faced by the people of Ganderbal.

He stressed the need for a team work and has directed officers to have their doors open always for the general public.
