North Zone Football Tournament: KU enters into quarter final

Srinagar, Dec 22: In the ongoing North Zone Football Tournament at Phagwara Punjab, University of Kashmir continues its winning spree and enters in Quarter Final stage.

University of Kashmir defeated CU Bathinda by two goals to nil.

As per INS, Talib and Afnaan were among the goal scorers for University of Kashmir.

Earlier in the competition, University of Kashmir defeated PAU Ludhiana by 3 goals to one goal and in another match the University of Kashmir came victorious against PTU Jalandhar by 1 goal.

The University of Kashmir will face Panjabi University Patiala in the Quarter finals on 23rd December.

Dr Nadeem Ahmed, Coordinator DPES congratulated the University Football Team for their consistent performance in the tournament and passed on his best wishes for the quarter finals.

Winning back to back matches is never an easy task, our boys have shown great character and commitment so far and I hope they will continue the same form in the Quarter Final match against Panjabi University on 23rd Dec, he added.

The University of Kashmir football team is being accompanied and coached by International Football Coach Sajid Dar.
