“Together we have created a happy Jammu Kashmir and a brighter future for young generation,” Sinha said while addressing gathering at Bakshi Stadium here, the venue for main Independence Day function in Kashmir.

“It is indeed Amrit Kaal of Jammu Kashmir and a new dawn of peace and prosperity for all the citizens,” he said.

Later in a tweet, he said, “At Bakshi Stadium our beloved Tricolor is flying high. The acclamation of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” echoed in the sky. My hearty greetings to all of you on the sacred occasion of our Independence Day.”
