Srinagar: Vehicular movement has come to halt at Srinagar Jammu highway after Kashmiri Pandits blocked highway over killing of a colleague in Kulgam.

The protesting migrant teachers have assembled on highway at Vissoo area of Qazigund.

“Vehicular movement has come to halt,” eye witnesses told India News Service over phone.

Protesting Pandits are demanding relocation of service areas.

A migrant female teacher was killed in Kukgam early today by unidentified gunmen.

Kashmiri Pandits have raised queries about the callous governmental approach for failing to provide them with adequate security.

Recently another member of the minotity community was killed in Budgam following which Pandits have been protesting and have issued a list of demands including shifting them or ttansferring them to safer locations.
